100, 3v 4500mcd superbright led's, and 470ohm resistors X 100 (anything from 320 to 680 is ok) lots of wire, solder, plastic tubes, cable ties and silicone sealant.

you soldered 100 leds to 100 resistors... oh damn..thats a lot of work lol..

ive been thinking bout leds cause their cheap..

oooooh im having a brain blast like newtron does..

what if ill take a plastic sheet a narrow one.. drill holes in it, and fit in the leds.. solder from the other side and attach it?

hrmph.. call me stupid but.. what are the resistors for?

Hell of alot of work, and for the craftsmanship id give you an A, with Merit, and a Gold Star, and a smiley face! :)

But, i really really dont like neons either! Sorry! I think they're far too boy-racer, saxo-mobile chavness. Dont all kill me at once!

P.S. I work at Makro, and they do a set of 4 LED neon-style tubes for about £20 if anybody can be ubikd making them themselves! I think they're made by a company called MT Racing, who also do this exhaust trim with bright blue LED's in it, so it glows when you brake! (Id hate that too!)

well

I did previously say that the craftsmanship was worthy of a knighthood (i may have well as done!) In a show it'd look cool, but when i see them driving around, it always turns out to be some scally wearing a burberry cap with no tax and insurance!

I hope you can change this image, a Yaris is already helping!!

In that case, they ain't too bad. Granted, they aren't gonna swing me to liking them, but as long as no chav activity is taking place, all is good and well! And from the pics, compared to proper neons, they look grand! Look like they cost a ******* site more than £20 too!

I think the pants would be less embarrassing than the neon’s (even if you wore them on your head.......... driving down the High Street.......... on a Saturday afternoon.......... Christmas Eve)
