Side Strips

Hey everybody,

Just wondering if it's at all possible to take the ugly black side strips from the side of my Yaris? I've heard of using fishing line to slice through the glue but im not sure this would be too good an idea for the paintwork underneath. Any better ways? Will the paint underneath be damaged/faded/crappy when i take the strips off?

Cheers guys! :)

Get yourself a heat gun, heat the whole strip up, so that, to touch, it's almost bearable. Thentake something, that's thin enough to pull up the edge, just enough so you can get your fingers under it and pull. If it gets a bit stuck again, give it another heat. There will probably still be sticky tape attatched to the panel, but it will come off with some persuasion!

screwdriver and force

You're having a giraffe! That'd jigger up the paintwork!!

Just wait until it's 5 years old, then it'll peel off by itself!! (Did on my Matiz!!)
