Rear Brakes Sticking On 2000 4runner 2wd

I have a problem with the rear brakes, mainly the drivers side. After a complete stop, the rear brakes remain on for a couple of seconds and sometimes they fail to release altogether. I have had the 4runner on stands and observed the brakes as they expand and contract normally and the wheel cylinders are free in their movement. Help Please!

Sticking calipers can happen more often when they get warm or under the normal sort of pressures. So when the car is up on a ramp, you may not see them sticking.

Repair kits are available from most decent part stores or a main dealer. The pistons on the rear calipers normally twist or screw into the cylinder for this you would need a special tool also available from decent part stores.

If you are unsure of doing any of the work yourself get it to a service center. you don't want to be messing with very important stopping issues ;)
