Dodgy Sr?

I've been browsing around t'internet and found a guy selling a Carlo blue SR on eBay thats newer than mine for £2000. I thought, blimey! Thats cheap, but have a look at these pic's:

Now, that engine is nothing like mine, and neither is that interior... anybody seen an engine or interior like that before... just seems odd!!

Super dodgy, thats a 1 litre engine or a phase 2 1 or 1.3 litre engine but the headlights are phase 1 and presuming they haven't had a headlight conversion thats a phase 1, 1 litre!

MUST be an import... That looks like a velour interior so I guess its a japanese one?

Wait! I've sussed the seat thing - the description on e-bay says that it has toyota factory seat covers fitted from new... Those are the seat covers.

Don't know about the engine though.

But its a phase 1 and the phase 1 1.3's had an engine similar to the T-Sport where the airbox is at the back etc!

I just noticed the seat cover thing too... but if you look on one of the photo's the front seat is covered, then it isn't! why would they take it off??

But that engine aint right! Could have had an accident?? Or Toyota have ripped him off totally!

Just noticed something else... look how good the condition of the carpet is in. He has no mats in there, they would be dirty after 20k+ miles! Also, he says the tyres still have good tread... Iv just changed mine at 19,500 miles and my fronts were as good as bald. Either he drives like a total granny, or he's got new ones... which he doesn't mention.

52 reg but has a remus zorst well being a 52 shouldnt it have a trim and not the tte zorst

I think it is the trim... looks same as mine anyway. If it is the TTE exhaust though, then that's an aftermarket job because they stopped putting them on for '02 reg cars onward. (Thats mine!! Grr!)

No way is that the 2NZ-FE engine for the SR, the seat covers are all wrong and the tailpipe is the chrome trim as the TTE backbox is less shiny and less noticable from a back view especially in pictures.
