What fuel is best to put in for an import car?

I have people saying keep clear of supermarket super unleaded  which is what iam using at the moment, but have put in optimax the other day cos i need to fill up.

BP ultimate? Esso? :help:

I run Esso super plus.

Optimax is very over rated, and is only any good if its used within a day of the petrol station having a fresh delivery.....

see how you get on with regular super plus (97 ron) with a decent octane booster!!!

if you are changing fuel amd intend to stick to the new mix, try resetting your ecu (dscinnect your Battery for a while and press the brake pedal)

I run Esso super plus

Yeah, totally agree. E$$0 Super Plus is pretty strong stuff. The ST205 used to feel revvier & flame from the exhaust more using Esso 97 where as Optimax made no diffrence at all.

Even though my Supra is a UK car (hence designed for 95ron wee petrol) i've started to run it on Esso Super Plus when i can as it makes the car feel more alive

What's this Esso stuff?

Looks like its Esso's stab at getting some of Shell and Bp's 'performance fuels' market.

Checked Esso.co.uk and apparently is still 97 ron fuel like their Super Plus although i dunno if this new 'Energy Supreme' is an additional pump or a replacement for their existing 97ron.

Give Esso 97 a try dude as i swear its better than optimax - and should be cheaper too

I tend to avoid E$$O wherever possible. Thier links and support to Bush and the U.S cause to go to war with Iraq and all...
