10 Second Car

Hi everyone

Well I'm sure everyone last night must have turned over and watch a bit of the fast and the furious last night. Well i did. For me it's still one of my favourite films.

Anyway let's get to the point. Vin diesel told Paul Walker that he owes him a 10 second car yes. Now i really thought that a Mazda RX7 was a fast car. Now in the film just as they where about to do the first quarter mile race i decide to time them on my watch.

Now the complete race actually lasted 1 minute 51 second. Now i can see why poor old Vin diesel wanted a 10 second car as clearly his Mazda was too dam slow :D :P And guess what the 10 second car Paul walker gave Vin???

Oh yes a Toyota Twin Turbo Supra

I rest my case.

Apparently there are very few 10 second cars in this country These are normally skylines (Sumo Powers 1100bhp skyline can do it)however Pulsar GTI-R's can pull 11's if done properly with only 400bhp

With those massive wheels. heavy kit and the aero top off, that Orange Supra in the F&F must have at least 1000bhp! But then the general public wont read into that will they!

NAAAAAS makes all the difference on the 1/4 mile...at TOTB I seen an mr2 I think it was owned by a guy called Dino running similar power to mine but with a 50 shot NAAAAAAS and he got early 12s...12.2 I think.....thats just with about 350 odd bhp! I hit 13.1 with my setup...1 sec off with a 50 shot!..unreal..

Yeah that happens in lots of movies. Two cars at full tilt then one racer seems to think "Oh look, I've got another gear left!", changes and tears off into the distance. Other racer thinks "Ah! so have I!" and sets off in hot pursuit!

Enjoyed the movie though.

f&f is an awful film, but still cool at the same time... no idea how they managed it!

2f2f is just dreadful, took the plot straight out of an 80's slab of cheese and added a few performance cars to it :(

I remember watching a *cough* copy *cough*, and it had the Supra racing the Ferrari with the Limp Bizkit (sp) 'Rolling' track, this went on for ages and was awesome.. I then saw it in the cinema and was like, 'Where's the 'Rolling' tune and the race was cut to seconds.. <_<

Is that so as i really like that part when paul walker is ragging the supra against the ferrari. It makes me laugh as vin diesel is looking kinda scared by the way he is driving ;)

the funniest thing is the ferrari could have been had by nearly any of the cars in the film, they aint that quick on a 1/4
