Rear High Level Brake Light 1996 Cabrio

I have purchased a 1996 uk supplied celica 2000 gt cabrio. although the high level brake light is fitted in black escution between boot lid and roof docking void, it has no wires attached. Anyone know the score on this. Is it major job to connect up.

Are there any signs that it may have been wired in at some time? You should check around the area for loose/disconnected cables.

If there is no sign of previous wiring it shouldn`t be too hard to take a spur off the brake light circuit and route it to the hi level lamp. If you dont feel competent to do it yourself get an auto elec to do it. It`s a fairly straight forward job and wont cost a fortune. Good luck.
