Stupid Question

Is the Echo and the Yaris the same car... the reason i am asking is.. during my search for alloy wheels i have came across an american site that lists the echo but not the yaris ..

yes but the echo is available with a boot (sedan version too)

Same car, with different names and sometimes with a saloon.

The primary version is The Vitz as that's what the Japanese call it and it was originally built there! This version is used in certain places around the world, and if it isn't.... it's either an Echo or a Yaris. It is the exact same car, but with different names and a couple of changes to engines etc...

These include:

Vitz RS is available as a 1.5 Turbo

Vitz has slightly different dash design, with closed dash bins (on some)

Different dash colours

Echo has a saloon version (mainly for american/canadian market)

and a few other things that i can't remember, but the chassis and basic structure is the same for all! (excpet saloon!)
