Hi guys and gals,

Since i got a new yaris t sport, i was really suprised i ddint come with back Speakers. Basically after spending loads of cash on getting this car, this is my first real good car!.

im wondering can any one recommend any rear speakes probably 6x9's and tweeters, im on a budget so as long as there not absoluty pants, can any one recommend any.

Also, is it worth changing the front ones?

i with thinking of just going for 2 tweeters, and 2 rear Speakers since im on budget, im not a fan of really loud music either! ( but some spekaers with a bit of bass, i dont want a sub!).

Just wondering how easy would it be fit tweeters and rear Speakers, and would there be any other things to buy besides speakers. Sorry about these simply questions, im new to ice systems. Engine mods are more my speciality. :D :D

you could get a set of component Speakers for the front. fit them into the doors where ur current ones are, and have the tweaters run up to where the dash Speakers were. then run the existing speaker cable which was connecetd up to the dash Speakers to the rear shelf and fit a pair of 6x9.

thats probably what i would do, tho im not expert!

6x9 would be the solution for rear sound, otherwise would have to get some fitted into what would be the 4th and 5th doors but then your talking alot.

Just go with 6x9s.

Personally, i'd change the fronts first. You wouldn't believe how crap they are! Plus, if you fit 6x9's in the rear without good Speakers in the front you risk pulling the soundstage behind you which sounds poo-poo!

Easiest improvement is new Speakers in door (iv written a guide for this if you're unsure) and stick some new Speakers in the dash. Tweeters will need an mdf build to fit in... but thats easy enough!

Yeah, that's what you do (except I wouldn't bother with tweeters)..

BUT, you would need to switch wires (on the harness) so that front becomes rear, and rear becomes front..

Otherwise, when you start tunng the headunit, (fade to rear for example - it's all !Removed! up!)..

If you have an aftermarket headunit you should not need an amp, that should power it well but will not be running full power but neither are mine but are still more than loud enough!:thumbsup:

if you not using a sub then ok your fine with 6x9s, personally i think they are absolute crap and make the soundstage very badly if running with a sub

id recommend a 4 channel amp to run your 6x9s and a set of component mid/tweeters in the front

components all round for me for starters as decent components will sound better than 6x9's anyway!

Nope, it aint no 5min job to change the door Speakers im afraid. You gotta drill three rivets out and either buy or make some spacers to hold the Speakers. The spacers require 16.5cm Speakers.

Send me an email if you want my guide as every free place i host it keeps !Removed! up!
