Toyota Deal With Psa

Just been reading about the deal with PSA (Peugeot and Citroen) to built three new cars with Toyota's being called Aygo (I think). I just hope Toyota do not go like Nissan did with 49% of Nissan being sold to Renault and new Nissan's not being as good as older one's, with the K11 Micra against the new K12 Micra being an example. And I also hope it does not affect Toyota's reputation for quality.

What do others think?

I think all 3 of the cars in this project look horrible.

The Aygo is alrite, but i bit bug like.

The C1 looks like a Micra but worse

The 107 looks odd.

True its not the best 2 reliable companys to do a project with but we will have to see.

Toyota has since long worked closely with other car makers for technological or marketing benefits, one of them being Peugeot (take a look at Toyota's C-series diesel engines), or GM (look at all the rebadged models, Toyotas being sold as Holdens or Geos or Pontiacs and vice versa).

This doesn't mean that Toyota is going to sell out to this or that other car maker or investment company. Toyota is a very healthy company, unlike what Nissan was, it was either accept Renault's offer and all the things that came with it (like Renault's choice of management) or go down.
