Cambridge is a nice city - not your usual Uni town.

Yes, driving around, you do need to keep your eyes open for cyclists/tourists etc...

couldnt comment on area's or prices - but at a guess, if you want cheap, look in the student areas..

I have only been to the football ground but it is very flat and green. Oxford is better than Cambridge though ;)

Cambridge is expensive to live in (if you are buying or renting a property)

Far better to live outside of the city in one of the many surrounding villages.

Yes, parking in Cambridge city centre is horrendous and expensive if you stay for long.

There is an excellent park and ride bus service from all sides of the city and the park and ride car parks are (quite) secure.

Where will you be working?

Cambridge is a cool place. Lots of History and legend states that Hitler ordered it as the only place NEVER to be bombed during WW2 because of his love for the coty........

You also have a cool motorway next to it for a quick blast along in ya 190. Drop in on Harlow - 20 mins away or head on into London - about 30 - 50 minutes drive.

I'm near Harlow and also have a 190 so I sense a potential M11 meet in the future.........

Thanks for all your responses... an answer to some I'll be working in Great Chesterford (south Side of the City).

Hmmm M11 meet sounds good (never been to a meet before!).

Just been on a run down through France for Xmas and new year.... Aren't the Toll roads great? Trying out the car (On a long clear straight stretch of road with no filter lanes) managed to cruise at a Very good speed

These 190's certainly are comfortable accelerating and cruising at 100+.
