Thats been around a while, i like reading the warnings:

*Not suitable for the following: All Diesel Engines, Subaru Impreza, Honda Civic K8 3 door non VTEC, all engines under 1.5L

Probably because the fumes wont all get expelled then an in car explosion I guess.

flamer kits rule, popular on seirra cosworths and RS escorts etc.

most cozzys will be making flames with out the aid of a flamer kit, my old fiesta turbo did

i know someone who has got one of their subaru impreza and it looks cool.

saw one on a nissan 200sx at the reading meets last year and that had a foot long flame come out every time he changed gear, that was a bit ott tho :o

yep, you have to drill a hole in the back box, stick a spark plug in there. wire it up to a switch thing and then turn it on or off.

also helps to run the car a little rich too :o

i remeber seeing some nut with one of these on a golf at a cruise and succesfully set his bumper on fire and then drove off....!

Pffft...I've been in trucks that could shoot 10-foot flames without any silly kits like that.

Of course, that vehicle had a 454-cid carbureted V8 that was running way way too rich.

How does it actually work?

Is there a spark at the plug all the time or is it a switch?

you need a secondary coil pack from the Battery with a lead to the tailpipe plug, turned on by a switch, a n/a car needs to be overfueling, but a turbo car does this already in high rpm when the tail pipe is hot, but the addition of a flamer kit such as a 'Spitfire kit' makes it all the more fun. You can pump in a little gas too for different collours, green, yellow, blue flames etc.

would be cool on a show car but naff on a mediocre modded beater.
