how much did the kit set you back then? just out of curiousity. 

and did u have any trouble fitting it?

Set me back around 400$US for a kit that would provide Hi/Lo ... using a rebased H4 type capsule... that was last year.

The output honesly sucked, and the glare was blinding oncoming traffic and all other road users. It wasn't a good setup at all in my opinion, our big reflector headlights are not designed for this at all. Installing it was fairly easy, although I did have to sort out some of the wiring because the kit's hi/lo function didn't work when I plugged it in.

I've since taken that setup out, and have sourced a spare set of headlamps in which I'm doing a real OEM projector headlamp retrofit. Those will have the proper beam pattern and sharp cutoff, as well as provide useable lighting down on the road.

It looked good though, that's for sure. ;)
