HELP!! :ffs: :censor: :crybaby:

ive just got into my car to go somewhere, went to put it in 1st, and seemed dificult to engage. i thought nothing of it, as its a bit notchy sometimes when its cold, but i set off then found it difficult to get out of 1st and into 2nd (like the clutch wasnt in properly - which it was). this was then repeated in every gear, and the clutch pedal went progressively "looser" - like it has no spring action, you just press it doen and it pretty much stays there. ive turned round, got home, pulled up and it now wont engage any gears at all - it feels like the clutch isn't connected or something. its fine when the engine is off, and you dont need the clutch, so its obviously something to do with the clutch, but what? it had a new clutch about 4000 miles ago, if that has anything to do with it?

i don't know what to do - i cant move it!!

have someone look at the piston on the gearbox while you press the pedal to make sure its moving ok , and check that the fluid level is ok.

just topped up the fluid level. checked the slave cylinder - no leaks, and its moving as it should.

i managed to get it in gear (just!) and when i did the biting point was on the floor

Had this problem a while ago with an old car of mine.

Could be an air lock, or the slave/master cylinder has gone. When I bled mine it was okay for a couple of days until the slave cylinder was replaced and been fine since.

this couldn't have happened at a worst time. ive got A level exams starting friday, so really need it at the minute, and its booked in to get a custom exhaust built on wednesday. that leaves tomorrow to solve the problem, when im meant to be in college, and already took today off.

i am well and truly fed up. im gonna have to cancel the exhaust now, which ive been looking forward to coz it's been blowing for weeks. and ive just noticed its also developed a coolant leak. plus i cant move it to take it anywhere, to get sorted. i give up!
