I've never been a very big fan of Kenwood 9due to some bad purchases made with them in the past) and have understood that sometimes their car audio isn't quite up to scratch. I am a big fan of Pioneer, and wanted to keep my car install all Pioneer if possible, but may change it to an all Kenwood install in the summer. Now, I have seen this headunit on the net, and believe that for the price it is, is a pretty good bargain.

One of my mates has kenwood 6*9 in the back of his car rated at 400w max, but my pioneers seem to kick out more bass and soundthan his, which he has also admitted. So, does anybody have kenwood stuff in their car and can they vouch for how good the stuff is? Opinions etc much appreciated!

Bugger! You mean getting my own fascia adaptor made or hacking the double din part to bits? :P

EDIT: Just found this on net Installation list. Says it will fit a RAV 4. So would it fit Yaris cos they both use same cage?

Oh and jaxx, just curious, i imagine you've already tried it, but would it be possible to install the double din unit in a replacement toyota surround with the original cage from the double din oem unit? Just an idea! Or would it be too big to fit?

I could however i could see a bit of a big job on my hands now. Drawn a diagram of it, and is actually out uite a bit. Toyota double din is too wide for the unit, but not tall enough! So, would have to fill in gaps around the side, then file away top and bottom to make additional height...big pain in the ***** to be honest!

Yeh i think it's gonna have to be scrapped. which is a damn shame cos it's a nice unit! The Yaris double din area looked like it would have taken it ok in the picture...poor misguided fool i am...LOL
