First thought is to get the manual from Toyota. This will tell you everything you need. If you're on good terms with the local dealer then they might just print you the page(s) you need.

Was the wiring cut after the din connectors, or on the wiring between the din connectors and the head unit. If it's the latter, then the new head unit you have should just plug in.

Chase the wires back into the dashboard and you might just be lucky and find the 2 standard DIN connectors.

Good Luck

This is off the top of my head so be warned it may not be 100%. Also if you pop into a Halfords they will be able to advise on correct wiring. Colour are pretty much standard in all cars.

The only wires that differ from manufacturer to manufacturer are the red and yellow. But it's an either/or situation and can be crossed (i.e yellow to red) to make sure the stereo retains memory.

Red = + switched (or permanent )

Yellow = + Permanent (or switched)

Black = - (Earth)

Blue/white stripe = Amp ground (Often not used)

Blue = Antenea

Brown = not often used even though present

White = Front Speaker (L -)

White/black stripe = Front Speaker (L +)

Green = Front Speaker (R -)

Green/white stripe = Front Speaker (R +)

Grey = Rear Speaker (R -)

Grey with stripe (white or black) = Rear Speaker (R +)

Purple = Rear Speaker (L -)

Purple/Stripe = Rear Speaker (L+)

You should be able to get an ISO adaptor to integrate between the stereo ISO lead and the wires in the dash. Just match the colours and you'll be fine. If the stereo does not hold it's memory - just swtich the two live around (i.e yellow to red).

HTH :thumbsup:

I would source the power wires first, then plug your stereo into it. You can figure this out with a multimeter.

Then try each combination for the Speakers.

Off the top of my head I think that there is no standard ISO connector wiriing block, so you would still have to figure out what the individual wires do.

hope this helps

havea nice day
