Being able to drive is a good start, or a keen interest in cars, or a motoring question. It just seems a little odd.

Don’t mean to sound ‘off’ with you but I don’t know many (if any) 13 year olds interested in cars, unless they are going to steal them!

Not entirely true - I have been car mad all my living memory - and my 3 yr old son is too - whilst the minority do spoil it let us at least continue the thought that not all nippers are evil little terrorists ... at least till proven otherwise - then hang-em

true - i've been a petrol head as long as i can remember (although i did wait till i was 17 to buy a car)...
