yesterday i had just replaced a new Battery on my 96 model Rav4.

When i connect the terminals back on, the alarm keeps on going off and cannot disarm the alarm with the keyfob. When i turn the ignition, the alarm goes off and immobilises the engine. I know it is a Scorpion alarm made for Toyota.

Can anyone please help as it is now the second day that i cannot drive my car ?

could be ECU trouble! could get it towed to a diagnostics machine to find out! if its ur ECU, all that needs to be done is to reset and voila

Scorpion alarms!??!?!

I have one and it seriously does my head in. I was mysteriously locked out of my car for 7hours in Edinburgh city centre. Why ???.... because the alarm decided that it didn''t want to disarm.

I had to get someone out to open the car for me. I then sat in the car freezing for 4 hours. I had to pull the sensors from the roof down behind the seats so the alarm would stop going off.

All of a sudden I pressed the button which I had been pressing for hours and it disarmed!!?!!? There was nothing wrong with the keyfob etc as the guy who was out tested it for me.

As soon as I get the chance I'm getting a different alarm. As far as I know Scorpion alarms have also gone bust!
