Problems With T Spirit Automatic

My Yaris T spirt Automatic has just been in for it's first service. It's 11 months old and has done 5000 miles. Have been told it needs a new cylinder head gasket due to an oil leak!!!!!!! Any comments anyone ?????

Have you seen any oil? All i know about the head gasket is that a creamy build up appears in areas such as the oil filler cap. (i think) But thats in older cars.

But it should be done under warranty anyway. Shouldn't it?

Haven't seen any oil.Just told them that the car made a rattling noise when first started up in the morning. It will be done under warranty. But I thought it was a problem for old cars. Garage and Toyota Customer Services say ' Just one of those things ' not what u want to hear !
