Rally Of Kent- Toyota Yaris Evo

Dear All,

Just wanted to let you know that we’ll be entering the PSR Sport Toyota Yaris EVO, backed by Jamie Houghton Transport, into the Rally of Kent this weekend.

The event is based in Maidstone and Ashford, with stages in the forests around Tunbridge Wells.

To the London-dwellers amongst us, this is the only event we’ll do this year that is local. The rest of the season will be spent in Wales, Scotland and the North East of England.

We’re car number 47, the black and red Toyota Yaris. We’re seeded 5th car out of our class of 18 cars of under 1400cc.

Here’s a link to spectator information: http://www.rallyofkent.co.uk/spectator.htm

It’d be great to see you at the Service Area in Headcorn Train Station when we make one of our 2 visits. There should also be some great spectating on the stages themselves where you can get very close to the action.

To decipher the times provided in the spectator information, if you add 47 minutes to the ‘first car expected’ time, that will be our due time. For example, we’ll be at the following points at the following times:

Start Ramp, Eureka Leisure Park, Ashford – 09:33

(MORNING STAGES, JACKETTS AND ROGLEY FORESTS)

First Service, Headcorn Station, Headcorn – 11:31

(MID-DAY STAGES, BEDGEBURY AND OATHILL FORESTS)

Starting with SS5 Bedgebury 1 – 12:41

Second Service, Headcorn Station, Headcorn – 14:42

(AFTERNOON STAGES, CHITTENDEN FOREST)

Finish Ramp, Eureka Leisure Park, Ashford – 17:45

The spectator guide on the official site will be able to give you far more detailed info on stage locations than I could.

Anyway, if you’re free on Sunday (20th March), pop along and soak up some of the action! Also, we’ll be having preparatory drinks on the Saturday night in the Harrow Hill Hotel, Warren Street, just outside Lenham (near Maidstone). All are welcome!

Take care, and hopefully see you at the weekend!

Phil

Good Luck Phil

I sent you an email about bringing your car down to Barbados for the Barbados Rally carnival but never got a reply. Maybe next year.

Check out www.rallybarbados.com we normally get a good turn out from the UK and I for one would love to see the Yaris rally down here.

Cheers guys.

Great to have some support from TOC.

I'll do my best to do us all proud!

I'll post pics and a report next week.

I'm also doing an 'open invite' test session on 27th March (Easter Sunday) at Corwen in North Wales.

It'd be a great chance to get to see the Yaris EVO up close and possibly even get a ride.

Email for further info.

All the best folks, and thanks again.

PS- Tarik- I didn't get the email, unfortunately. Please re-send as the Rally Carnival Barbados sounds like a decent event!
