If you want to delete Windows Messenger...

Click on; Start

Select; Run

Type in; Cmd

Right click and Paste the code...

RunDll32 advpack.dll,LaunchINFSection %windir%\inf\msmsgs.inf,BLC.Remove

hit ‘Return’

Windows messenger is now gone

MSN Messenger can be installed again at a later if required

Hope this helps...

Get in there son,

Firstly get yourself Firefox

http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/start/

Microsofts internet explorer is, in a word, crap.

Also:

Windows XP Home

1. Click Start->Settings ->Control Panel

2. Click Performance and Maintenance

3. Click Administrative Tools

4. Double click Services Scroll

5. down and highlight "Messenger"

6. Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties.

7. Click the STOP button.

8. Select Disable or Manual in the Startup Type scroll bar

9. Click OK

Windows XP Professional

1. Click Start->Settings ->Control Panel

2. Click Administrative Tools

3. Click Services

4. Double click Services Scroll

5. down and highlight "Messenger"

6. Right-click the highlighted line and choose Properties.

7. Click the STOP button.

8. Select Disable or Manual in the Startup Type scroll bar

9. Click OK

It's a s*x site...

You may have been infected by a trogan hence all the pop ups.

You can go into the add/remove programmes and delete the programme that has been downloaded. Run a virus scan. Go to msconfig and turn it off. Or use Adaware to delete it.

Either way, someone has agreed to let the webcam programme access to your PC.

My mums used to get all of these things. I think its a trojan. Download Adaware or even the Windows equivalent and run full scans - they should help to knock them on the head. in the butt to get rid of, but I managed to clean out Mum's without reinstalling windows.

Just enable XP Filewall

you got that message because someone used

"NET SEND 'YOUR_IP_ADDRESS' MSG"

you can disable it from the registry but I forgot how

you can do a quick check my clicking START>RUN

type "NET SEND 127.0.0.1 HELLO WORLD" without the quotes

Download XP-Anti spy.. it has options to turn off a lot of hidden applications in windows XP.. like error reporting, windows messenger (uninstalls it).. and lots more.

http://www.xp-antispy.org/

The popups your getting are from windows messenger.. all addresses are in some kind of "phone directory" and the people who send theese popups just look through it and send their spam.

Once windows messenger is uninstalled.. get msn messenger (if u not got it allready).

Werll woth getting if you havn't got ot people
