Yep today the Blue finally got Air-Con installed by MrT free of charge after having her for 7 weeks and 4 days :D

Took her down there at around 9.30, and was told by the woman that she would be ready at around 5pm. Got the Courtesy Car, which was a 1.0L Twilight Blue Yaris Blue too - and boy was it a shock going back to a 1.0L! The acceleration was so slow! But MrT called at 1pm and said she would be ready after 2pm, as 2 technicians had been working on her and she was ready - hows that for service! And the guy who sold me the Blue was on the phone in a room next to reception and was waving at me lol when I went to pick her up :D, she was also cleaned inside and outside by MrT.

So yeah, am very impressed with the Air-Con, altho does it make a lot of difference to the fuel consumption? Is it best to leave it on all the time or just leave it on to get the car cool and then turn it off?

Also at the weekend me and Yves got some photo's of our Yarii too:

They were still kinda clean at that point too :)

its best kept on recirulated air, because the air inside is allready cooled the air con dont need to work so much , also keep all windows closed and any sunroof visors pulled along.

Thats great news Blue - although the word FINALLY! has to be said about your branch of Mr T - they sure did take their time....

As for fuel consumption - I wouldnt know, never had a Yaris without aircon, but I doubt it will do much! I keep mine on all the time and I still get 330 miles to a tank!

Just in time for summer too! B)

Those pics remind me of Herbie and the Lancia Beta in Herbie Goes To Monte Carlo! ;)

I don't think I'd leave it on all the time. It does use more fuel but it is nice to have when the car gets hot and stuffy.

Thanks guys :) I'm proud of our girls - they sure do look good together.

So hopefully there wont be too much of an increase on the fuel consumption, I'm not too bothered but it's good to know these things, just hope that the footwells dont get flooded like what some people have experienced :)
