 Being unable to find a workshop manual to assist me on my first maintenance task I decided that I would do it myself.

Tools Needed: 16mm plug socket (please note that it needs to fit inside a sleeve so the outside diameter of the socket must be no greater than 22mm)

Parts: 4 x BKR6EKB-11 Spark Plugs - Manufacturer NGK

1. Carefully remove spark plug leads by pulling from sleeve, this sleeve runs through the rocker box cover.

2. Using socket with extension bar unscrew spark plug and withdraw.

I found it more practical to remove all four (4) plugs at this time.

The new spark plugs should be of the double ground variety and there is no need to "gap" them as they come preset, but if you quote the above number that is what you get.

3. Insert new spark plugs into plug socket, lower into sleeve and tighten.

4. Repeat until all plugs are fitted.

5. Replace spark plug leads, this is fairly obvious as the are the correct length to each spark plug.

Turn ignition key and hey presto.

As a footnote I found that this was a worthwhile exercise, as the old plugs where well used and had probably been there since day one.
