hi peeps anybody had cambelt replaced on their rav? ive been quoted £ 350 from mr toyota but still got another 10k to go before it needs doing,cheers ian.... :wacko:

Seems very very expensive, book time is 2.4 hours, if your dealer charges £80.00 an hour, that's only £200 odd pounds, that make the cambelt !Removed! expensive :eek: ......try another dealer .

Mine is due soon, cause it has a patchy history. And having looked in the haynes manual, it's not a 10 minute job!! :D

Book time is over 3hrs if it has ABS ie 97ish onwards

but it was 2.4 for pre 97

It is expensive just had mine done and it cost me £70 working for Mr T and getting atech to do it after hours

we could do one for £175 + vat

By my humble calculations, that's a saving of £145 .00......so how much petrol would it cost to go from isle of wight to yorkshire :D :P .

330miles to a tank of fuel at approx £40 time, how many miles to yorshire ? plus £60 return on the !Removed! ferry :bookworm: good plan see you 10,000 miles time :thumbsup:
