New Rav4 Owner - Tyres & Running Gear Q's

Hi,

Traded in our MINI One for a '52 plate NRG this saturday just gone. Picking it up next week but part of the deal was that I replace the four worn tyres. That's OK as I got what I'm happy to think was a good deal :D

Anyhow, can anyone recommend the best tyres for wear and noise? I'm reading poor reviews for the Bridgestone Duellers that are currently fitted. Any advise greatfully received.

Also, I noticed that all of the cars I viewed seem to have a fair bit of surface rust on the 'running gear' etc. under the car. What's the best way to both protect this and make it look better i.e the suspension 'bits' etc. (I'm not fully car savvy) visible from above?

Thanks in advance. I'm sure I'll be around these forums for some time to come

Andy

Have a look on www.mytyres.co.uk tap in the tyre size (235/60/16 ),chose a brand, then click on the tyre test ....Reifentest.com, this gives a test review of the tyre, including how noisey they are :)
