Toyota Carina Alarm Problem

:blink: I've had a toyota carina e solair for almost a year with no probs but recently filled up a a petrol station and after locking the car couldn't get the alarm to turn off. I can unlock the car and drive it but every time i open the door the alarm goes off. They key fob won't lock or unlock the car and i've changed the Battery to no effect. If anybody has any suggestions it would be much appreciated.
