Dunno - I'll ask.

My older bro has got one of them wikid PC speaker systems - the Dolby 5.1 surround jobbies with Sub.

Absolutely spectacular at loud levels.

I am using it... have 7.1 surround sound Speakers but no tv card yet as I am goig to build a pvr for the tv downstairs and stream the tv to my room... just got to get round to it :P

I rarely use the media center features although can see why people would.

Why is it crap for networking?

It is cheaper than windows professional and better than windows home, that's why I got it...

I use it on my laptop the new version does not allow you to connect to a domain. But if you have access to MSDN you can just install the Media center part onto windows XP  I dont use it very often but it's quite cool

Can you run it on a fanless pc (ie a low power one) so that it doesn't sit in your living room buzzing all day?

Paul.
