:help: I bought a black 97 RAV4 swb last week and i have been hearing a bump at the rear of the RAV when i pull away.On inspection i could see that the diff had been moving and hitting the floor of the car.The rubber mounting at the dack of the diff dosent seem to be doing its job,is this a common fault and are there any other mountings i should look at . many thanks Butsy

Used to fit a few in the early days

They do bang a bit with a quick gear change but should have little movement in them

my 02 plate has started doing something similar - a clunk/grate when either pulling away or braking. will mention it to Mr T when they take it in next week to sort out the clutch and alarm problem.
