Roof Bars

Hi,

I'd like to buy a set of roof bars for my 2005 Corolla hatch.

Should I go for the Toyota (read expensive) ones or can anyone recommend any third-party manufaturer?

Id recommend Toyota ones only because ive known people come to me and say there too expensive and have gone elsewhere only to return a few days later complaining that the Halfords ones are crap...

Hi,

I have got the Toyota ones but if you want them for a kayak then you will have to make your own uprights as the bars are that wide.

They are good bars though, have you tried Thule?

Thanks, I'll take a look for the Thule ones and see how they compare. I only want them for the occasional ladder at present nut there is possibility in future I may want one of those luggage box thingies.

be warned i know some one who bought the Thule ones and ended up with 4 nice dents to the area where they fitted. tried toyota ones and they fitted perfectly
