Right. I've been offered a 1972 Reliant Scimitar GTE for £500. It's British racing green, with 50k on the clock and a full MOT.

A mates dad owns it but is emigrating to New Zealand in 2 weeks and wants to get rid of it.

How easy are these to sell on?? And how much is it actually worth?

Thanks

They're classics... or at least, will be

Value is dependant on condition - but if its in reasonable condition, £500 is a reasonable price.

see this one for sale

So, prices are lower than i thought - but still, depending on condition, still could be worth a bit.

again - depending on condition...

dont forget though - its a niche car, so you would need to find someone looking for one... but with all the forums on the web, i cant see it being too difficult..

As said above it really depends upon condition.......................but if you buy it for £500 dont expect to make a FAST buck......(It may take some time to find a buyer that will give you much more than £500)

Guy at our Stratford office has one. Racing Green, but it's getting a bit rusty now.

Still wouldn't mind one - think they'd be a good laff.

Rusty? Is it not a GRP body?

Cool cars though...

These cars will become collectors pieces.. if kept in very good condition, the value of the car will continue to rise over the years.. you may not be getting a bargain now.. but in a few years? who knows.
