Part Ex. Help Please

Hello,

Just woundering how car sales go about part exchanges. Ive got a 05 C2 VTS worth around 8/9k and im wanting a Glanza V for around 5/6k how do they go about exchanging a car worth more than the 1 they are wating?

They should give you the difference - we enquired about it when we part-exed the 206 for our Corolla and we were told by our local Toyota centre that if our car was worth more than the car we wanted, we'd get the difference back.

It wasnt though obviously, it was a 206!

Dealers wont give you any money, swapping privately you would obviously arrange the cash difference - I have done this myself

Best to sell your citroen privately then come back here to TOC after you have a Glanza and become a Gold member

It's like squeezing blood out of a stone when it comes to a Dealership parting with money - sell it privately and then go to them with a Wad of cash and drive a hard bargain !!

Well, we were told we would.... but then our 206 wasnt worth more than the Corolla anyway....

Best bet would be to sell your car privately then and go back with the cash!
