i've been thinkin bout changing the Speakers and hu in my yaris and i've read a load of posts on the topic and i think i've got a good idea what to do. the only thing thats stoppin me is the jvc hu that i'm lookin at doesn't advertise an ISO connection. does this mean i have to splice the wires going into the hu or is an ISO connection standard on hu's these days so they dont advertise it?? any help would be greatly appreciated...

the connector in the back of the jvc unit could be different to others but the other side will be universal and that will fit into the iso connector you will need from Halfords. (don't know part number unless you've found it, otherwise check the how to guides)

so in other words it should work without cutting the wires.

you will need to cut the wires on the Speakers

You should be able to get an adapter specifically for your HU, and then plug that into the ISO adapter for the Yaris.

Right so i need the ISO connector from Halfords and maybe a seperate adaptor for the jvc hu...thanks for the help lads  , but just one more question, is the toyota wiring loom the same thing as the ISO connector?

No it's not the same. Oh and your hu should have come with an adaptor to link it to the ISO lead so don't worry about that. But you still need an ISO lead for an aftermarket HU

go to Halfords and ask for the iso adaptor with the code below.

ISO lead: PC2-17-4 (toyota one)...... £12 Halfords

stick the iso connector onto the wiring already at the back of your HU, and plug the other wires that come with your new HU into the other side of the adaptor.

job done
