I'm on NTL and looking for a new ISP however I get a little worried about the monthly download caps. Anybody know of a monitoring program so I can see how much I get through in a month?

I`m with Wanadoo. 2Mbps 2GB download limit not yet reached the limit. Although apparently if you do overdo it on a regular basis then they will offer you a 4GB limit at a reduced price to that advertised. Absolutely no complaints, Rock solid connection.

I've had no problems with AOL, its just that there seems to be loads of providers out there that are cheaper

PlusNet... Soon to be Eclipse if PlusNet keep dicking me around with speed & dropped connection issues. :ffs:

They do have download limits and I'm on Premium too! My UseNet connection has dropped to 25kbs and I only downloaded about 5gigs last month, not 15gb which is the capping limit!

Cheers,

Jim

download limits are useless , if your are into movies and games , i download 40 to 50 gig a week , its worth the extra couple of quid for the same speed aol provides IMHO

I know a few people who used to work for AOL and all I have to say is, from the storied they've told me is that I pity anyone who has AOL.

Tiscali - only 512k as I don't really download much stuff at all, but if I did I don't have any caps.

Service was playing up for a few days a couple of weeks ago, but otherwise I've had no problems whatsoever...
