:crybaby::crybaby: On Thursday night 3 lads in a Golf GTi crashed into the back of my beloved Celica :crybaby: I was stationary, waiting and indicating to turn into a side street and wallop KITT gets pushed into the side street. :ffs: :ffs:

I called the police and ambulance, I got checked out was told I was just in shock, the lads didnt bother to get checked out. Police breathalised all of us, no one was over the limit, they took our details and off they go. The lads get in the Golf and they go.

Any way it was dark but the only damage I could see on KITT was a dented bumber and my rear lights out of alignment. She was driveable that was all that mattered to me.

Took the day off work went to some body repair shops........... they look in the boot and it is mashed up in the corner, they look at my rear quater panel and its bowed inwards  needs a new bumper and new lights. Both places I went to say she is beyond econmical repair :censor: :crybaby:

I am just waiting for my insurance peeps to come and check her over for themselves. But in my heart I know she will not be coming back :crybaby:

I am devestated and heart broken, she was my baby I put every thing I had into her, I know she was "JUST" a car...... but too me she was my world. :crybaby:

I'm so sorry to hear your bad news. I thought you had her safely tucked up in the garage till Spring.

"Not economical to repair" means different things to different people. It doesn't mean that it can't be done.

To the repair & Insurance people it means that it will cost £X to do & the market value of the car is £X-, therefore forget it. To you she is Kitt. Get a few quotations, check out a few scrapyards for bits, do your sums & if you can afford it... Go for it.

Are there any Toc members nearby who could have a look at her for you?

Best of luck, whatever you do, love. :group-cuddles:

Oh Ash... I'm so sorry to hear about KITT.

But at least you are ok hun, that is the main thing, KITT will always go on, whether you decide to fix her up or not, she's a TOC institution and will always be remembered.

Make sure you take care of yourself first and foremost though - its an awful thing to go through and you need to make sure you take care of No 1 ok!

:(

As long as your ok.. thats what matters.

If the insurers write it off.. look into buying it back.. then you could get bits n pieces from here n there.. and she will be as good as new.

Get as much from insurance as you can.. show them what yu have spent on it, and how much better than any other Celica it is.

Noooooo! Poor KITT. :(

Sorry to hear this, Asha but as long as you're OK, that's what really counts.

Take care and I hope you get things sorted to your satisfaction soon.

P.S. Have a hug from all of us. :group-cuddles:

unlucky darlin

but at the end of the day its just plastic and metal, could have been far worse and we might have a broken Ash :(

anyway any damage to the bootfloor with it being a coupe, alot of the strength of the Shell is in there, which is why itll be deemed an economic loss :(

chin up... time for a gt4 :P
