Reminds me of the time I desparately needed to run-in my engine before a race on a weekend. I took my Kart down to the local newly built by pass to give it a fair few gentle runs and then a blat because I couldn't get to a track... except the other side of the carriage way was already open.

Got some very puzzled looks from the drivers.

BTW - That's a proper racing Kart in the clip. A Go-Kart is technically either a peddle one you can buy in Argos or the indoor ones, which are not a patch on these serious pieces of kit. Jones~32 will know what I'm on about  ;)

Are you a gokarting racer?

Id love a road legal gokart, one thats uber powerful, great handling, and very easy to control :D

Used to be Matt - Jones~32 (Mike) has reached a more professional level than I did. He's still racing

Was very good fun but damn expensive

I've seen that vid before on google video, that guy is nuts!

Moffmo - yeah i race, mine only has about 20bhp, but only weighs 70kgs, so its still quick, and the cornering is incredible

Charis - wouldnt say i was at a 'professional' level  can't afford it! :(

Karts are great! A mate of mine and his brother used to race them a zillion years ago when I was in my teens. I was the grease monkey and used to get to drive both of them. Awesome but the first time you try it, your eyes ratle around in your head for a while after you've stopped!

And, yes, it does get expensive.
