I've got a Virus on my computer. At first, I thought it was the Blaster Worm, had it a couple of years ago, but i ran the symantec blaster worm removal, and said i did not have this virus on my pc. I also installed the microsoft patch for this virus/worm.

It comes up with a pop up message 'an error has occured in...blah blah blah...NT AUTHORITY/SYSTEM.

The system will shut down in

00:00:60

the error has occured in....'

so it proceeds to count the minute down, and then restarts my system. Norton antivirus cannot seem to find anything (and downloaded new definitions today...anybody offer any help? I can't seem to shift it!! :crybaby:

We need to know which virus it is before we can help you out ....... if you can't be bothered to type it out do a 'screen dump' and post on here  !

Boot into safe mode and then run your anti-virus software. Also run any anti spyware progs that you have that will run in safe mode.

I know HijackThis will propably find it but you will need to post the log first so we can identify it.
