Ok peeps i need some help here...

I need to change my front two tyres asap as they arent in as good a shape as i first thought they were :crybaby:

Problem is i cant seem to find anywhere that sells my tyres, and dont want a mix of tread patterns/manufacturers.

If worst comes to the worst i'll have to change all 4 for some Goodyear Eagle F1's but i'd preffer to save half my money as i think the Yokohamas i have a pretty awesome.

Anyway my tyres are ' Yokohama Advan Neova LTS ' also badges up as AD06 if that helps.

Anyway im trying to get a pair of 235/40/17. If anyone can help me out on this i owe ya one

here is a pic of the pattern too if it helps link

They may be discontinued!

I would try contacting the YOKOHAMA direct to see if they still produce that tyre and if so where are they stocked.

Hope this helps.

EDIT: I've read a comment on another forum which said that these tyres are not E (dot) Marked for use in the UK. Might be why no one seems to stock them and why they're on imports. Apparently a good track tyre but rubbish in damp conditions. (?)

Thats a strong possibility.. a lot of Yokohama tyres were produced only for the jap market, and as such don't carry the E number, rendering them illeagle in the UK... also, looking at the tread pettern, it looks as if it could also be a track only tyre.

When i'm at work tomorrow i will ask around our suppliers (if they are open.. might be wednesday) and see what i can find out.

EDIT: Just found the website you got the pic from.. looks like it could be a tyre specifically designed for the Lotus Elise.. a lot of manufacturers make car specific only tyres and don't do them in other sizes.

Another EDIT: I have found that there is the Advan AD07 (possible upgraded version of the AD06?)

The ADVAN Neova AD07 is the Max Performance Summer tire member of Yokohama's global family of ADVAN performance tires developed for sports car, sports coupe and performance sedan enthusiasts who love sport driving. Used as Original Equipment (O.E.) on the Lotus Elise, the ADVAN Neova AD07 is designed to provide high levels of traction, responsive handling and driving control in dry and wet road conditions. The ADVAN Neova AD07 is not intended to be driven in cold temperatures or in snow.

Designed to deliver Yokohama's ultimate dry street performance while maintaining good wet traction, the ADVAN Neova AD07 uses a "fine particle" Micro Silica (MS) tread compound (to provide greater road surface adhesion) molded into a directional tread pattern that features massive, rounded tread blocks to increases cornering stability and steering response. Five large circumferential and multiple directionally aligned lateral grooves resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction. Internally, the two wide steel belts reinforced by spirally wound nylon cap plies and provide excellent strength and uniform ride quality while the sidewalls are tuned to resist lateral deflection to provide handling control and feedback.

Like the motorsports tires this Max Performance street tire has evolved from, the ADVAN Neova AD07 radial's construction and compounds have been tuned to maximize the tire's traction and performance within a specific range of ambient temperatures. Therefore, unlike less highly tuned tires,Yokohama's care instructions specify that due to its compound characteristics, ADVAN Neova must be used and stored at temperatures above -10 deg Celsius (14 deg Fahrenheit) to maintain its performance and avoid tire damage.

They are deffinately Lotus Elise Specific tyres (the AD06 may well be discontinued and was specific to your esprit? i don't know.. yet).. i will see if i can get hold of these from our suppliers, and find out if they supply any dealers in your area.. if not, and i can get hold of them, i will see if i can get you a price on them delivered to your door.

was specific to your esprit?

No not for the Esprit, i have these tyres on my Celica GT4.

Thanks man, if you could find out that would be great.

I think im going to probably invest in 4 new Goodyear Eagle F1's and try to sell the new Yokohamas i have on the rear.

Get down Bracknell T&B .. you know it makes sense.

Dunno what an insurance comp would say if the worst happened .. I know they can void stuff for non E-marked brake pads.

OK.. i phoned 3 of our suppliers and was told the same thing from all 3.

The AD06 and AD07 Yokohama Advan Neova LTS tyres are indeed a Lotus specific tyre.. the sole rights on the selling of these tyres lies with Lotus themselves.. IE. a dealer only part. You would need to go into a Lotus dealer to get these... and, in the words of my supplier, they can charge whatever they want.

These Goodyear F1's are sounding better all the time

If you still want the Yoko's try here.....
