Rpm Signal Level Converter

Ok this is what the HKS RPM Signal Level Converter does!

The HKS RPM Signal Converter is an electronic device engineered to convert a 12volt analog signal to a 0-5volt digital signal. A 0-5volt digital signal is typically required for most air/fuel or timing controllers.

Has anyone fitted one before?

I have a few questions about it!!

Cheers

I brought it to get my rev counter to work I assumed it would just change the pulse for the rev counter but the instrutions see to start from the Battery I just dont see where they change the pulse? is it into the ecu?

Just need a pointer in the right direction so I can do it. I have all the wiring diagrams for the 4agze and my ae111 just need a starting point!

Is that the Battery?

I would have expected a +ive and a ground .. and a signal in, and signal out wires.

How many boxes do you have? One has a 4wire box, the second a 4wire AND a 5wire box.

The box top right in each picture is the HKS device! Thats what confusing me there seems to be 2 ways of doing it.

The 2nd picture the 5 wire box must be the ECU but I am not sure?
