What an amazing show although the guy that does all the cutting etc gives me the creeps, that hat and his accent reminds me of Hannibal Lecter, plus he enjoys it far to much for my liking.

The show makes me sit back and think about what I actually am ...... and also to eat healthly.

It's just started on Channel 4 for those of you that don't know  !

*Note - Contains real dead bodies and not for the faint hearted

Its sick, I'll still watch it

I don`t think its sick at all. Anything that makes us aware of our bodies and what happens to them can only be good. *Reaches for !Removed! packet*

I agree about the gestapo reject though..... He was definately enjoying it toooo much.

I think I saw that, I had to turn over though - bit too much for me.... I'll stick to things I can handle.... like Child of our Time....

I think there is a post about the original series somewhere.

I find the programme fascinating. It's not sick at all - the bodies are being used to educate people and that was the person's wish before they passed away. I'd much rather help like this if I can than rot in the ground becoming plant fertilsiser come the dark day.

Being able to see the effects certain things have on the body for real can be a real wakeup call. It's not someone preaching 'do this, don't do that' but actually showing you what happens. You can't sit there and go into denial.

For example, seeing the effects smoking has on the lungs *for real* not just dire still pictures is far more effective than any NHS advert, however hardhitting in my opinion.

I do like this programme but funnily enough I couldnt eat food and watch it at the same time. :P

Its very informative and the guy that they draw on has a nicely toned body

And she is wicked at drawing.

This is the kind of learning I like, its all well and good reading the information from a book, but its not the same as seeing what your reading about in 3D form.

I learn by visualisation. If its placed infront of me and then talked about I find I have a greater understanding of the way things eg. the heart, work. And it sticks in my mind longer.

Comes in handy for exams. :shutit:

Damnit! I knew there was something I wanted to watch... The choppy chappy is spot on. Just what you need for an autopsy. Him or Vincent Price anyway. ;)

Still waiting for the TV producers to combine it with Big Brother though. :naughty:

I missed it, I was planning on watching it too. I do find things like that easily gory but then I'm just a typical girl in some aspects like that!!

Very interesting otherwise though..
