Headunit Access

ok guys, just received my dension ipod kit

all it requires me to do is plug a cable into the cd changed port at the back.

so what is the easiest way of getting to this without destroying my dashboard.

i plan to fit the rest of the kit in the glovebox area, as it's nice and close to the headunit anyway.

i believe it does involve removing certain sections of the console though to get to it ?

just follow the pics, start by removing ash tray and then gear cover, undo the two screws at each side, pull the centre heater control off if you have one, if not it should remove straight away.

their is then 4 screws holding the radio in position loosing these and your radio will unplug then you will be able to fit it

sounds easy enough... i'm sure i'll end up with a cardboard dashboard at the end of it !

My tip is :

When you pull the centre console out (one with the climate / temperature control buttons) put a cloth/duster etc on top of it, otherwise you might scratch the plastic when the stereo comes out.

you might have to take out the heater vents as well, if you do they are just clipped in so they should be easy to remove
