date first reg = 19 Jan 1998. VRM begins 'N'. whole thing looks funny.

Vehicle has got a s plate in pic, VRM begins N, reg 98 (s/t) and advertised as 96 (P)

I wouldn't have thought so, as an R reg car is 1998

I thought new regs started September, not August.... my Matiz was W plate registered August 15th 2000, not an X reg and I know the current plates are released September 1st so they might have been August when it was one a year but I'm sure it changed to September & March for twice yearly - so there is exactly 6 months between.

Hmm I think he needs to learn how to proof-read and check what he prints, he could've meant 1999 but then he has put:

Model Year: 1998

Date of 1st Registration: 19 Jan 1998

Something definately doesnt seem quite right....

'has had a recent engine rebiuld'

apart from his dodgy spelling, that could be a subtle reason as to why it doesnt add up, only a rebuild?

My 1998 Celica GT was S reg. I doubt there is anything wrong with the car. But obviously you do a data/hpi check on it before you buy any car.
