hi, just after some help....

cant believe how stupid i am, i hav mounted the curb for the second time at like 20mph, only this time it wasnt so funny as i had alloys on. was cornering and the car slid out on me which it then hit the curb. One of my alloys has crumbled a bit. the mark is about 2.5" long n a couple of millimetres deep. Does anyone have an idea of how much it would cost to get repared? and also do you think it is worth having my car checked out for suspension damage etc...? the car still drives normal. also can these alloy wheel places match any colour of alloy? as my alloys arent standard colour, i took the crystal option. the alloys are fox evo 6s

any help appreciated

cheers

luke

If the damage is superficial then some of these alloy wheel refurb places might be able to help you out (I'd reckon on about 30-50 quid per wheel - probably best to get all 4 wheels done at the same time so they match).

If I were you I'd get the geometry checked out soon just in case you've knocked them out of allignment or damaged the suspension.

YMMV

I'd definately get your geometry checked, and as it happens a mate of mine just had his 17s re-furbed by a place in Prescot, they charged £30 a rim, and made a really nice job of them! they look like brand new ones!

Edit: Pro Clean Alloys

  • 1 year later...

I know this is an old post but as people looking to use this company will be taking the advice of the above, I thought I would update it......

DO NOT USE PRO CLEAN

As near as I can gather the business has been taken over and the employees have left, the quality of work being produced is so abysmal it is unbelievable

Looks like you are advertising another company.. link removed.

Sorry admin, I don't understand your reasoning for removing my link. So I'll add it again.

http://www.nationalalloys.co.uk

The employees have moved there

I am not advertising, I am giving advice for those who want their wheels refurbished. I have used proclean twice, the first time the service was excellent and some years later I used them again. This time the service was not so excellent so I used National alloys and found out the information I have already posted.
