Celica Gt Ra28 Parts

Hi everyone

I'm looking for bonnet hinges for my Celica RA28. 'Auto Base Toyota' in bath have sold out and toyota have disscontinued making them 10 years (or so) ago.

I am also in need of replacing my 'Distributor Vacuum Advance' as well.

Does anybody have these parts? Or ANY parts for ths particular model?

Additional information: engine is an 18R-G, Right Hand Drive, car was built in 1978 (T) and is not an import.

I saw a red RA-28 on the T the other day at Heathrow... I commented to my dad at the time that you don;t see many of those about on UK roads!!!!

right ive been on the EPC the only RA listed was an RA40 with the 18-RG engine. the date fits with yours (1978)

distributor advance part # is 19220-88230

hood hinge is 53410-14040 same for both sides it seems.

try quoting these part numbers to the guy behind the counter as most often with old cars they cant be botherd to look for the part and just say "oh we dont do parts for that car any more".

toyota may still have stock either here or japan.

failing that try the Toyota Enthusiasts club as they seem to have a good classic parts network

Is that the part numbers for toyota main dealers?

I know that TA22 parts will fit the RA28 but i will have to give the RA40 parts a try
