Reconditioning A Gearbox With Lsd?

Hey all...

First i want to apologise to toyotasera.co.uk who i was supposed to get to but couldnt due not being able to access the web coz iv moved, and then TOC was down for a bit. Sorry mate!

Next....

The gearbox on my 1994 Starlet GT is crunching and the LSD making knocking sounds. The thing is that as far as i know the gearbox in my car has got an uprated LSD fitted into it which iv been told is worth quite a bit? Therefore wanted to some advice that could this gearbox and the LSD be reconditioned? Is it worth it? Or would it be better off to get another gearbox? Also, if possible, what costs am i looking at for the different jobs?

By the way im still new to this forum and just wanted to say that i think everybody is SOOOOO helpful.
