G'day people,

I am new forum member from australia. I own a 1973 celica LT that has been substantially modified. It has a 4AGE engine, race seats, all rust removed and replaced with metal and then repainted. The interior is getting spruced up, and all the suspension, brakes, clutch and fuel system has been overhauled.

I am hopefully coming out to the UK in a couple of months and I was wondering the possible price it would go for in the UK considering when I was over in the UK I never saw a single one, let alone any cars from the 70s. It is almost perfectly straight and rustless.

I don't have any pics, but i will get some up. If you don't know what they look like I will attatch a pic of someone elses so you get the idea of the shape.

that site has many that look like mine. Cheers.

Crok.

The problem is that it'll not be worth a great deal. People in the UK don't actually look at cars for what they are, they seem hung up on how new it is.

You'll not see many 70's cars, cause they rust, and people bin them and get something new (spoke to a bloke who has lost over 15k on 2 cars in 5 years - an Alfa and an S2000).

The only old cars you'll see are the real classics, old Cobras, 911's, Ferrari's.

G'day mate

I think the value of these depends on the buyer - plenty of us still love the old Celicas and would pay well for one in good condition, myself included! I had a few coupes and liftbacks of the 73-77 vintage and would dearly love another. You'll def have to post a few pics - and check the classic Toyota section on this forum (there's a shot of my old 73 V8 coupe there too!)

Btw - my sis moved to Oz a few years ago and now lives in Brizzie, she loves it there although she finds the summers hot - near 40 odd degrees I hear on some days lately?!!!
