Cd Player

Hi

I have a 2002 Colour Collection Yaris. The CD Player has decided not to work. I took it to Toyota and they told me that the bottom part is faulty where you put the CD in. They quoted me £180 fitted for a replacement.

Does anyone have one or know of where I can just buy the unit cheaper (apart from eBay???)

Why don't you buy an aftermarket one?

yup why not an aftermarket one, infact speakin about headunits, my £300 headunit got knicked just before! it was being used in my sisters car, and when she was at college, some nutter decided to steal it to make a bit of lunch box money!

back on topic, yeh get an aftermarket 1, though fitting it in is a bit tricky, but it becomes easy oncve u know how. quite a few screws etc u need to undo, need to know exactly where the screws are then its easy

And seeing as there is a few guides on here there is no exscuse to not know how to fit one! eBay is fine for the replacement units if you want a replacement unit :S Or a breakers may have one that works? If not aftermarket gives you better quality with better features and can look very smart if fitted properly (looks loads better than the toyota HeadUnit that goes into the coin slot!!)

Failing that, get an auto electrician to have a look see if they can do anything with it.
