As i understand it the older a car gets the less power it will have compared to when it was new, or after a few thousnad miles, but what is the best way of gettin this power back, and i dont mean modifications such as induction kits etc, just cleaning, or replacing certain, hopefully cheap parts

thanks

Should get quicker and quicker the more miles on it until obviously you have done loads and the engines rattly, but on a toyota thats a lot of miles

how long have you owned it? If you just got it, are you sure your expectations werent too high?

Ps. when was it last serviced? a good service may do the trick if you reckon it is actually not as responsive as before

Yeah I'm missing 260bhp off my Yaris.... I swear it was there when I bought it....

I really dont think its possible to "lose" anything, like Caz says, as long as you service is regularly then your car should remain tiptop! ;)

Cars as they get older lose compression hence power. were talking generally 8+plus 125k plus

But as i car gets older it gets embedded moreand hence performance gets slighly better with time.

If you put a similar modded yaris both the same together one with 120k miles one with 40k the 40k would be slighlter faster.

But this isnt end all, there other factors too.
