Congrats on the purchase Wilbur.

Toyota are on par with Honda when it comes to build quality and reliability in my opinion.

Drove the 1.4 Corolla and loved it personally.

Welcome to TOC. ;)

Problems? With a Toyota? It's obvious you're new to these parts

Nah, only messing, welcome to the club, I doubt you'll have many major problems but like Dave said if you do this is the right place to be, post some pictures when you get the car if you can

Because Toyota don't do anything sporty .. Idealy I was after performance, open top, reliable and new(ish). I had a wedge of cash and the only thing that I could have done toyota wise was :

Supra : too big, too comfortable

AE86 : a LOT of money for a 20 year old crayola

MR2 : had an NA, got a turbo

GT4 : nice, but *so* not me

Looked elsewhere, wanted an NSX, hold their values too well and I don't want an Auto/Red one.

Looked at the S2000, took one for a spin, the drive is great, loads of feel and good for a daily drive.

Spoke to a lad who wanted to sell asap, I wanted to buy asap. WE came to an agreement, car was mint, 48 hours later I was a lot poorer.

S2000 collection link ..
