Yes me again,

I apologise in advance for such a long winded post,

I'm finally ordering kyb suspension (new house stole the rest of the money for adjustable konis  ).

1) Has anyone got uprated top mounts on there suspension units?

2) Do they really help?

3) Is putting TRD heavy duty top mounts on a 1.3 worth it, ott or a waste of money (£103)?

4) Would I be better just getting a strut brace for a few pounds more & some new standard OE mounts from Mr T?

I told ya it was long winded

Thanks in advance

have you adjusted your camber? the top mounts (if good) should allow you to adjust this .. no more bald insides of tyres and less bump steer.

Richard, I was given some TRD top mounts and for me they were neccessary as 4A-GZE engine and gearbox is much heavier than the standard units. For you I would say that they would not be a worthwhile "investment" and I'd say get the strut brace. Fensport now sell camber adjustment bolts but you will need someone who can measure the camber to get it right i'd say about 1.5* of negative camber would be about right.

Different car I know but I put TRD strut mounts on the rear of mine and they made a world of difference

I run pillow ball top mounts (no need for adjustable camber there as I have double wishbone suspesion) and strut braces front and rear....

The difference was definitely noticable!!!!! Even if you don't have the most power there is, they will firm things up and improve chuckability!
