Okay, blantant steal from another forum -

simply, what is the best looking car (new or used) you can buy for 20 grand?

Forget mechanics, how fast etc etc - simply on looks alone - what do you think is the best?

NSX .. for me .. It's got everything, engine in the right place, perfect stance and design. It's sleek and brutal all in one.

I can't put my finger one one.....

The Lambo muria is high up there, I agree with Ben about the NSX (with flap up lights only)

The "Ferrari" Dino looks fantastic... as does the original 300 SL ("gullwing")

Ona slightly different level, the original, before the rework "spirit of America" land speed record car was a true thing of beauty

Ahhh I forgot there had to be a price limit.

In that case proberly the

NSX or the Giugiaro styled Maserati 3200GT

Which I intend to be my next car after I get a 2.5 TT-R supra.

I also think, if its nice one, the E24 M6 BMW can look fantastic... as can the Jag XKR, but only in hard top form.

i just went to lookup the prices of early DB7's (£25k for a nice N plate), i cant believe how many years ago production started (1995), feels like they have been out for about 6

not keen on replicas personally, i would only get one if it was an incredible likeness (in everyway) to an origional, that cobra seems a good carbon copy

I *really* don't get the E-Type ..

Okay, it's a classic, and I understand why it's got that status.

But it's badly designed, got rubbish thin wheels and I just can't like the shape of it. The lights make it look like it's god a mental illness. All the chrome bits are too "stuck on" .. and the rear looks half finished.

Give me the Cobra replica anyday ..

yeah, but i'd say the wedge of the NSX that is a blantant copy of the Esprit looks no better than a TR7 on a bad day, and yet you think it looks good...

its all down to personal taste, i love the curves, the long sweeping bonnet..

I also like the brutal look of the aston Jay posted... and yes, the cobra [replica] is a lovely look too, functional, but not pretty...

I think I do have a leaning towards more "brutal" looking cars.

Look at how my MR2 ended up.

And I can see the way my S2000 is going.
